We are delighted to have Cassie Castillo join our spring retreat. Cassie's love for sewing began early, inspired by her mother's handmade clothes. Her passion led her to earn a degree in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. With eight years of experience in the fashion industry and twelve years designing knitting patterns, Cassie rediscovered her love for sewing and launched Primrose Dawn in 2019. Specializing in feminine yet practical lingerie sewing patterns, Primrose Dawn offers a wide range of sizes and emphasizes form, function, beauty, and comfort. Cassie's patterns are known for their clear and concise instructions, making her an invaluable part of our retreat.
We are thrilled to welcome Lisha Sanders to our spring retreat. Lisha's journey into the world of fabrics and sewing began at a young age, crafting clothes for her Barbie dolls and paper dolls. Her passion led her to a successful career as an Apparel Technical Designer in the fashion industry. She worked with many top retailers in the industry including Nordstrom, Belk, Perry Ellis, Chicos, Soma just to name a few. With a life-long love for pattern making and sourcing unique materials, Lisha co-founded Stitch Love Studio, where she curated professional, ready-to-wear materials from top manufacturers and created many unique and beautiful swimwear and lingerie patterns that were a hit in the sewist community. In recent years Lisha has mastered her skills as a 3D apparel designer and has trained many companies in the industry in the use and implementation of 3D apparel software. Her workshops at the retreat promise to be an enriching experience, filled with expert insights and a deep passion for the craft.
